Welcome to Local Aid!

Welcome to the official website of Local Aid for Children and Community Special Needs! We are a registered charity (no: 1104585) and voluntary organisation based in Swansea, South Wales. Our beneficiary area covers the City and County of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.

The aim of Local Aid is to raise awareness of the needs and aspirations of young people with special needs. The organisation provides specialist equipment; arranges travel support, specialist services and activities for young people with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in our local communities. The organisation supports young people with learning difficulties and physical disabilities, and promotes the rights of individuals to be supported to reach their potential. We actively support children and families in need.

We offer fun, choice and opportunity for these young people through a number of avenues. Please browse through our website to see the full range of projects we undertake.
